My short time in New Zealand has been really enjoyable. I've done some amazing things and met some really awesome people! Something that I really loved was when I took surfing lessons with the other international girls. It was so fun because it was within my first few weeks here so I didn't know many people yet and was just learning about New Zealand. We got to the beach and were given boards to try to get up on. The teachers were really helpful and informative. We had four lessons that were each about 2 hours long. By the end of all the lessons, I felt fairly confident on the surfboard and I know that some of the other girls bought surfboards afterwards.

I'm so glad I took part in the lessons and would encourage others to sign up.
